Inspiring local environments.
Outwurk everywhere.

Outwork acknowledges the Wurundjeri people as the traditional custodians of the Woi Wurrung region on which this work takes place. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We are committed to a positive future for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Why Outwurk?

In a handful of words, working from home has exploded - it's here to stay. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

COVID-19 has dramatically impacted how many of us work with the majority of traditional officeworkers now productively navigating their days from home.

With pronounced benefits to employees and businesses of all sizes, these flexible working arrangements are here to stay for many.

Freelancing since 2013, we know these new mobile workers won't just work from home though, they'll desire human connection and changes in scenery to maximise their productivity ...and sanity.

Whilst coworking spaces service a vibrant portion of the freelancer market, this new breed of mobile worker will not need nor want the cost or inconvenience of a permanent desk away from the workplace or the home.

There needs to be another option.

What does this mobile worker need to stay productive? A seat (or four), reliable free wifi, maybe a power plug and little extras like being dog and bub friendly.

Thankfully this already exists. Our awesome local cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants deliver on many of these needs. ๐Ÿ‘

Coming out of this crisis, two trends will grow:

1. The โ€˜everyone work from homeโ€™ experiment is bedding in flexible work arrangements as a massive, permanent change for the majority of traditional business and office workers.

2. Local businesses such as cafes will be looking to connect with new customers and this growing army of modern mobile workers is a perfect match.

Outwurk will be that search engine connecting awesome local spaces with modern mobile workers. Workers will plug in their needs for the day and discover the perfect local business that meets their productivity needs.
